El café en Italia es un tema de estado, es por eso que ésta edición especial de Diadora se llama "Espresso Ridotto". Tal y como indica el nombre, en un espresso lo que importa es la calidad del café y no la cantidad, como en ésta edición especial, en la que tan sólo se han fabricado 255 pares para todo el mundo. Estas impresionantes N9000 están fabricadas en Italia y son una copia exacta del modelo original de 1990 que utilizó la selección de fútbol Italiana durante el mundial de ese mismo año.
El upper está fabricado en nylon tubular, nylon y suede perforado. Los detalles están hechos en 3M y suela de EVA mezclada con poliuretano.

Coffee in Italy is a serious matter, that’s why these sneakers are called “espresso ridotto” (single shot). As espresso is an Italian excellence, which focuses on quality and not quantity, we feel these sneakers are quite the same. Excellence is a word to be spent sparingly, and it is not used lightly here - the Diadora N9000 is, in fac, entirely made in Italy, and is the faithful remake of the 1990 original in all its parts, assembled with special facilities here in Caerano San Marco, in the heart of the footwear district of Montebelluna. A classic running Diadora shoe, also used by the Italian national team during World Cup 1990 for their training sessions.
It was developed for runners and equipped with every technical feature: the upper tubular Nylonfix, nylon and perforated suede (suede); the asymmetric polyurethane stabilizer, which improves the support and absorption of the impact, also acting as the axis of support for the foot during the action; the tread - suitable both for the road and the dirt; the movable reflective collar 3M Scotchlite. Every detail, material and color are the original ones, starting from the sole and EVA foam of the polyurethane intersole .Diadora wanted to present the N9000 model as it was in the catalogue and in the world of running sneakers from the years 80-90, and there are very few brands that have attemped that before.
