Su principal inspiración es Pernambuco, el estado brasileño. La zapatilla mantiene partes de la Air Max 1 premium como la toebox de mesh o el talón de terciopelo. La frase que viene escrita en el talón es de Chico Science y significa "un paso adelante y ya nunca estarás en el mismo lugar" que es simbólicamente lo que Nike Sportswear representa y como sus productos son recreación y remix de otros grandes productos de la dilatada y exitosa historia de Nike. The shoe’s main inspiration is Pernambuco, a state in Brazil. The shoe keeps true to a number of parts on the original Air Max 1 such as the mesh toebox or suede in the heel. The phrase on the heel written in Portugese is from Chico Science and means “one step ahead and you are no longer in the same place” which is symbollic of what Nike Sportswear represents and how the products that are a part of Nike Sportswear are remixes and recreations of some of Nike’s greatest products in it’s history.
